have been trying to download the vista 64 bit iso and it down load fine but
the size is only 13.7 MB in size, anyone got any ideas what going on

If it's only 13.7MB, it definitely did not download fine. The x64 image should
be something like 4.01GB. Are you using a download manager to download it, just
a browser, or the MS download manager?

Try the appropriate link below. This is part of
the email I received after registering for Vista.

Due to the size of the download we recommend you
use the Download Manager provided as it will
allow you to resume the download if your
Internet connection is interrupted during the
process.

The image size is exactly 4GB + 13.7MB, which doesn't fit into a 32 bit
number (up to 4G-1).
Most of older download managers use 32 bit numbers to pass around size
values, thus loosing any digits over 4G and being left with the reminder only
(in this case: 13.7M).

Solution: be sure your downloader is capable of handling this "new
technology". For example: Opera is beaten here.
If you don't know what to use: use MS download manager, it works.

I have been trying to download all weekend using your link below - english 64

You mean via "Akamai Download Manager", don't you?
I was downloading it as follows:
-> XP[32bit]
-> IE 6.0 (I wanted to be as much conforming to MS default download path as
possible, since they most likely tested it the most)
-> accessed the standard download site:
"http://download.windowsvista.com/preview/beta2/en/x64/download.htm" (just as
in the mail link)
-> section "To use the Akamai Download Manager" (additional info in section
below: "Using the Download Manager with Internet Explorer")
-> link "Windows Vista Beta 2, English 64-Bit Edition"

And the Akamai downloader turned out not to have any problems with big file
size issue whatsoever (I only had to save the image file to an NTFS
partition, since (obviously) FAT32 one wasn't fit to do the job).

But I'm quite convinced that you already did all of that. If that's the
case, then I'm sorry, but I don't know how I could help you.
