Downloaded digital photos gone

I upgraded my computer from Windows 98SE to Windows XP
Pro and now the Sony transfer folders all have 0
megabytes instead of the jpeg images that were there
before. I would really like to recover these lost pics.

Try using windows key + F
this will bring up find files (as long as you roughly know the filenames.
The first rull with a computer is alway have Data Backed up.
