How do I even download the program? The microsoft site says to do it
through windows update. I tried that without success and can't find
the program anywhere on my computer. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you are referring to Movie Maker...
Go to...Start / Run...type "moviemk.exe"
press...Enter. If Movie Maker is installed
on your system...it should launch.
Movie Maker version 2 can be downloaded
from the following site
MovieMaker 2.0

Movie Maker version 2.1 is installed as a
component of Window XP SP2.

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.
It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.
And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.
What can I do if I upgrade to Windows
XP SP2 and Windows Movie Maker 2.1
is not installed successfully?
