I downloaded vista 64 bit and i can't seem to find where it downloaded to.
It telss me where it is going but it is not there. Did this twice, Any one
have this problem.

Are you using the download manager? If so, double check the location by
clicking in the dialog box and arrow over to the end of the line.

Or you can do the more obvious....

1. Are you noticing a loss of hard drive space? (the file is large and you
should definitely notcie something if you are downloading multiple copies.)

2. Lastly, try searching for the file name you are downloading or search for
the extension ".iso". This will bring it up if it is on your system.

Put the below path in an address/path bar and see if you can find it
somewhere in the Virtualized folder. Most folks that have problems finding
the .iso after downloading find it there. Make sure to make appropriate
changes for your setup, like user name. Once you get to the Virtualized
folder, you can go through it normally.

C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Virtualized

I am using the download manager and it shows where it is downloading it to,
but there is no such folder there. I have tried searching for the file in
just about every way possible and no luck. I also tried looking for it in
C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Virtualized and there is no folder like that. I know it is downloading
it but where is it going? This is a real mystery.

If you are using the download manager, and it does not show up, then there is
a problem with the download.

Are you monitoring the download, or letting it run unattended?

If there is a problem with the download, it will not complete the write on
your hard drive (i.e. it will not be saved.)

Did you verify your drive space availability?

My best bet is that you encounter errors when downloading and may not be
able to see the error message when it happens. If I recall correctly, it does
not ask for a confirmation from the user about the error. It will report it
and then close, leaving only the console open.

If indeed you leave it attended, I would suggest turning off hibernation,
suspend, and screen savers temporarily.) With such a large download, a little
interruption can cause problems.

FYI, it took me about 30 minutes to download the file over a cable connection.

Just search your computer for 1Gigabyte plus files..... there aren't too
many. It should be easy to find, if it really downloaded.

Are you using Vista to download?

Have you looked here (insert proper user name):

C:\Users\(Your User)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Virtualized
