Recently downloaded old television show from internet. ('Connections' by way
of Bit Torent, peer to peer)
Wrote this to disk (CD-RW)
I would like to view it on my DVD player but apparently I am missing a step,
(Encoding? Finalizing? Format?) as it will only play on the computer.
DVD player does read -R -RW +R +RW and RAM
Can anyone give me some fedback on where to look for this process I've missed?
Thank you NOOB

You need to use third party burning software and burn a video DVD....

Roxio, Nero, PowerProducer, WinDVD Creator etc etc

Actually the first and most important issue is what format the original
download is. Generally speaking most of the tv programs I have downloaded
are in divx or xvid format. If this is the case, unless you have a DVD
player capable of playing such files you will have to re-encode the file to
mpeg or mpeg2 which will make it look like shit. However if you have a
phillips 642 or similar dvd player then all you need to do is burn to a data
disk(either cd or dvd) and you can watch it. If the formal is mpeg2 or if
you encode the file to mpeg2 then you will need to author a dvd or svcd
using one of many programs available out there.

The Real MVP

They are indeed xvid & divx formats and my panasonic (although a recent
purchase) does not play them. Will the third party software (roxio or ?) be
able to accomplish the task I need to play outside my pc. NOTE: encoding at
least at this point in my experience is still 'greek' to me
Thanks for you response and interest NOOB
