Download speeding up in FF

I have shifted to FF 1.0 from OE6 recently.
Used to download with DAP in OE.
Unable to use it with FF.
Download Manager in FF takes a longer time for downloads,
Not at all fond of DAP-Gladly replace with other software.
Am on Dial-up hence need speeding downloads.
Help would be welcome,

I use Metaproducts Download Express. Install it into Internet
Explorer. Then install the ieview extension in Firefox. To use, just
right click the file you wish to download and select View this page in
IE. It will open the downloader even though they say they don't
support Firefox.

Use "Download With" (http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=203). Get the
repackaged version for FF 1.0PR.

Hi Jaycee,

I use it with FF without any problems at all. Somewhere at the Mozilla
or Firefox site, there is a section that has the methods for integrating
the various download managers with Mozilla/Firefox, unfortunately I
can't find it, but I did find the instructions here:
