Download says it is complete but only partial file is downloaded

Recently, when downloading large files with IE6, I have found that the
download will finish early (often after more or less exactly 30 minutes),
saying 'Download complete'. When opening the file, though, it will only be
roughly half of what it should be: ZIP folders will not contain all the files
they should; video and audio files will only be of half the length they
should be and so on. I have tried these two links having seen them in another
post:

Cannot download large files

But the first does not work and the second doesn't contain a solution. Can
anybody help, please?

Thanks in advance

Hi harry :-)

First, clear you Temporary Internet FIles:

Safely Delete the Temporary Internet Files

The TIF size should be set to 50-60 MB. Larger caches tend to be more prone
to trouble.
See "Resizing your Cache"

then ..

Hope this helps :-)
