I set a download manager program as the default downloading
program for my computer. However, I found the program to be
useless and I uninstalled it. However, when I want to
download something else from the internet within my
browser, I am unable to do so (it says it cant initialize
the program I deleted) How do I unset the program I deleted
as the default downloading program?

Manually disable the third-party D/l managers as follows:

Click Start | Run | Regedit
Goto this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
Choose file > Export and save it as a .REG file (as a backup)
In the right-pane, change the data for "DownloadUI" to blank.
Logoff and re-login
Download a software.
