Hi,
I have a problem when IE is downloading non html files
from a webserver and tries to invoke the application
associated to the file.

The application pops up saying that the file cannot be
found (in some IE temp directory).
I have seen IE downloading the file (progress bar) adn
the webserver's log file confirms this with a 200 message
in its logfile. But the file is NOT in the temp dir
indicated by the application.
This happens with 2 different applications
jnlp file for webstart
doc file associated to OpenOffice

Ah yes. .. Iam using IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2
Who can help??

Try this for each file type.

You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zip
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File)
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm open
after download" box

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.
