Frequently, when attempting to download files and updates etc. I get an error
message that says IE could not open the site or that it was unavailable.
However we can download from those sites with another computer, which points
to the IE on the affected machine. No changes in settings were made before
the problem began occurring. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm getting the same problem while trying to download. The usual 'Download
Blocked for your protection' doesn't appear any more.

I am also facing the same problem it is very irritating that I cannot
download any files or update can someone help

The vendor says he cannot help contact MS.

Hi Sensor :-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

Internet Explorer Could Not Download...

An Error Message Occurs If You Click "Save Target As" for a Link

Cannot Download with Internet Explorer

This kind of problem can also be caused by some types of adware/spyware. Be
aware, your Anti-Virus nor other removal programs cannot detect *all* types
of warez, Trojans, malware, worms, etc., as they don't have all the
necessary definitions. They must also be run in Safe Mode with Hidden Files
enabled in order to fully scan all files. Even if you have run such
programs and nothing shows up, it does not mean your system is clean. It
takes a series of programs run in the necessary methods to fully clean your
machine. Some very aggressive and damaging variants of malware can replicate
themselves repeatedly, or mutate, if not removed properly. Follow the steps
here:

Hope this helps.

Download and install HiJackThis. This is one of the most important steps.
Follow all instructions carefully. This program should be run in Normal
mode.
