I clicked an icon to download a program from a web page.
I got a message that the source file cannot be read. The
problem is that the source file named is not the name of
the file to be downloaded it named a file on my computer.
The company emailed me the file to download. When I tried
to download it from the email I got the same message.
It seems that something is stuck in the download command.

Does this make sense to anyone. How do I clear it out?

Thanks.

A "Source file cannot be read" message usually means that the file is
damaged. The file name on the server and the name used to save the file on
your computer do not have to match. Are you using Open or Save in the
download dialog box? May want to try SAVE to get that copy to your hard
drive. Scan it with an antivirus program. Then run it.

If this is an installer or EXE file, you also need to be sure that you are
logged on with an account in the administrative group for the installation
of the downloaded file to succeed.
