I found a wav website where I can download many Christmas songs. They can
all be accessed through links; but I can only access one link and download
one song at a time. Is there a download manager that will allow one to set
up a queue of all the links I want to access, then have the manager to
automatically download them all?

Not exactly what you want, but maybe sufficient:

BTW: What is the link to the [ I don't really want to say the next word

I use Fresh Download and find it really good. However it doesn't quite
work like Wayne says.

You save every download link (right click and select 'download with FD')
into Fresh Download and then you have to 'schedule' each download.
Not quite as easy as giving it a list and telling it to download one
after the other.

I'm using fresh download 7.00 and it will work for automated downloads
(one after the other) the scheduler isn't necessary.

Just set the options for the number of simultaneous downloads you
want, highlight them all and let it go - it downloads the stuff in the
order in which they are enabled or top to bottom if you enable all.

definitely use a throw away email address - they want to send you
weekly update/news and the program is updated frequently.

Get Right (nagware or adware or share/pay ware) has a built in browser
that makes it real handy to just highlight the links from a directory
and download them. Fully automated. but not freeware

Hello Doc:

What I have done in the past is:

1) I first go into the integration page and remove all the extensions and
leave only the one that I want to download.

2) Right click in the browser page and select " Download all by FD " now
right click in the new FreshDownload window and select " All files"[
Should be the files with the extensions specified in step one ]

3) You can select which folder you would like your files saved by using
the " Save folder " tab and selecting the " Save to: " location.

4) It should now download each file in sequence until the list is
finished.

Side note: Make sure you set the " Connection " tab in the FreshDownload
main options to how many files you would like to download at a time and
how many " Simultaneous connections " you want for each file. You can
easily overload your available bandwidth [ Even with a broadband
connection ] if you are not careful with these settings.

Most download managers will allow you to build a queue but you must
build it from inside the dl manager.

Net Transport (NetTransport) is the best free download manager I've
been able to find. Scheduling jobs is easy. There are at least three
different ways to work (albeit overlapping) that will result in
delayed downloads.

Net Transport has been very reliable with two exceptions related to
the db. One of those was an explicit bad design decision to change
the internal structure and not provide a conversion tool. Otherwise
it has been quite stable. Only Flashget does a better job handling
links.

Net Transport does not support checking mirrors. It works
Mozilla/Firefox via a plugin.

The license has recently been changed to shareware. Registration
increases the number of supported streaming formats. I am at v186.
v187 is also supposed to be nag free. 1.90 is reported it have
intermittent nags (unknown pattern). v1.91 is currently available.
Slightly older versions used to be available there but may have been
removed. Registration adds support for additional formats.

Flashget in various forms has been mentioned. I rather liked it
except I couldn't tolerate the Flash ads.


I haven't used the Free Download Manager (released this summer?) but
the claims are good. It logs internally but does not create a
separate log file.

The free version of Flashget contains spyware. If you Google
"Cydoor/Flashget" you'll get many references:
"FlashGet can be installed in two modes: Adware and Shareware. The latter
