Hi all,
I'm not sure if this problem is associated with Windows or
not, but all of the sudden since tonight, when i right
click and try to save images, it doesn't get saved. I am
using Netscape and when i right click-go to "Save Image" it
opens up the Destination location and give me the file name
and all..but when i press OK, nothing happens and it
doesn't get saved! Is this a new virus or something? Lately
i've gotten this little pop up box this says "Shit. Not
Connected" (or something like that) when i turn the
computer on, and i was wondering if I'm experiencing a
virus or what's going on?

I haven't changed/added/deleted anything lately and it was
working fine last week.

Seriously... Does "s*** not connected" sound like a valid error message to
you? It's also not normal for files that are manually saved to just up and
disappear. You need to get busy and find out what's going on with your
system. Some of these worms that are seemingly harmless on the surface drop
viruses which can cause very serious damage to the setup if not cleaned up.

Start by scanning with an up-to-date antivirus program. Do a full system
scan. This is more intense than the scanning provided by autoscan features.
Make a note of the name of anything the antivirus finds. Look it up on the
antivirus website. There are often extra directions for complete removal
that *must* be performed by the user.

A quick online check for adware, spyware, hijackers and other nasties:

Look for odd things in MSCONFIG> Startup, in the "Downloaded Program Files"
folder and in Add/Remove Programs. For every item that you don't recognize
here, take a little bit of time to find out what it is, what it does and
get rid of it if you don't need it.

<LOL> Nope! :o)

Ok, update...

The exact message is "Shit.Connection failed". I ran a full
system virus scan and it didn't find anything. I tried to
download Symantecs newest definitions, but i see now that i
can not download anything at all!! Help!!!!!!!

you?

<LOL> Nope! :o)

<smile>
I really was serious though. I think that all of us can remember and
empathize with the haze of confusion that often accompanies being a newer
user. But we also remember that moment where we stepped back a bit and
said: "I'm a reasonably intelligent person and I will figure this out."

Then you start to learn. While that process seems to entail going 3 steps
forward, 2 steps back, 2 forward and so on - with time, it will progress in
the right direction. =0)
