I want to change the Download Management Protocol settings
in Windows Explorer. The settings show my 3rd-party
download software (Gozilla!) is being used. I want to
change it so that IE6 will manage the downloads. Can
anyone tell me how to change the settings and make IE6 the
default for downloads? Thanks!

Hi Lenore,

Internet Explorer has its own download ui. If you are using a third-party
download manager program and want to disable it:

1. Check the options available in the particular software you are using.
(Disable browser integration).
2. If that does not work, manually disable the third-party D/l managers as
follows:

Click [Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Goto this key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
Choose file > Export and save it as a .REG file (as a backup)
In the right-pane, change the data for "DownloadUI" to blank.
Logoff and re-login
Download a software.

If this does not help, unassociate the particular BHO (download manager)
using BHODemon. Download it from:
