Download "internal error"

confused

when i attempt to download from a web site i get a prompt
that says "internal error" and when I clock OK it closes
the browser and i have to start over again

My daughter had downloaded something earlier and i lost
connectivity - so I uninstalled and reinstalled the
browser. i'm able to get on line but can't download
anything.

I am able to download in my newsreader program Agent

The temporary I.E. files folder is a cache for web pages that you have
visited. I don't know why Microsoft sets the default so high, but I have
seen 2gb set for storage. This and other setting can be changed to decreace
the size of the storage area, and supposedly delete the I.E. temp file when
you close the browser.
