"New York City Hackers" (30 minutes, 2000) is available as a WM9 download

I am Norwegian anthropologist who is looking for people who are deeply
involved with computers and communication technology. Hackers, coders,
phreakers and those who like explore technology in new ways. Please contact
me at (e-mail address removed). Hopefully this year, or the next, we will shoot a
follow-up to NYCH. We'd really like to interview you. Anonymously if wished.

If any of you would like to see a particular topic or theme in the movie,
please let us know. The purpose of the next film is to give a insight into a
culture that many outside either misunderstands or dislikes.

this post is pretty much the " standard " government " trolling post
" which they have used for well over a decade back. it first
became popular way back in the c-band sat dish hacking days , then in
phreaking ircs and NGs , cellfone hacking NGs and many others . it is
so old and tired , I'm embarrassed to see them still beating this old
horse to death.

come on Guys ....... take some initiative and get some new material ,
use some of that GS grade federal energy and invent some new and
refreshing approaches, for a change !!!!!

I sometimes wish that I had a agency job; atleast then I would have a secure
income.
First of all, I am Norwegian citizen so therefore I am not a 'agent' for any
US agency. And not any Norwegian agency either. Second of all, watch my
movie and read my thesis to see that I dont have any covert mission with my
independent research. My wish is to work as a historian and anthropologist
in the hacker field.

even if what you say is true ( which is HIGHLY doubtful ) ....... how
could you ever expect anyone in the USA to be brain dead enough to
admit or talk about breaking felony level federal laws to anyone ,
anywhere for any reason ? ( that was actually doing it ? )

considering recent events here in the USA , even telling something
to a reporter that you expect to be kept confidential is no longer a
wise thing to do. the feds have weakened the protections and laws
to the point that no one is safe talking to anyone . doesn't matter
if you are out of the country or " going to keep them anonymous " (
yea sure ha ha ha h ah a ) , someone REALLY doing " something "
would be plain stupid to admit it to anyone, let alone talk about it
in detail !!! ha ha hah ah a what a trip !!!

the only people you are likely to get to talk are BS artist or
wannabees filling your ears pure bogus junk ! times have changed
now, smart and / or knowledgeable people would never talk to you
from this country.

you should concentrate your efforts in the middle east and indonesia
where there are talented artists in these fields and getting them to
talk is WAY more likely than anywhere in the USA ( and most of
europe ) . everything is so underground these days, we don't even
know each other ! ha ha hahahahaah ( and wouldn't admit it if we
did )
