download error

when I try to download new definitions to the new Beta I
get an error message saying "Warning,could not connect to
the Internet!", though at the installation time it did
update and i have a permanent internet connection

Looks like it is a microsofr error, as we both posted a
similar problem. Unless we both happened to recieve the
same severe spyware or virus.

Guys,

Check the attributes of the host file found under
c:\\windows\system32\drivers\etc
I had a problem downloading updates for my antivirus
software & also for this program when that file was
changed to read-only. Don't know what changed it but it
is all working ok now

I would shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware from the notification area, uninstall
Microsoft AntiSpyware, navigate to c:\program files and delete the Microsoft
AntiSpyware folder. Restart the computer, go to the following link and
download back Microsoft AntiSpyware and install to a non-default location
such c:\msas:
