Tim

I am trying to download some .zip files. When finished it
says that they are corrupt. Instructions on the site
(belchfire.net) say that if this happens to diasable your
download accelerator. How do I go about doing that?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Tim,

I just downloaded about 15 files from that site using Flashget and they all
turned out just fine.

What download accelerator are you using, and what kind of connection do you
have to the net?

I have DSL and, to be honest with you, I have never heard
of a download accelerator. That is why I dont know how to
disable it...lol. What is Flashget? Something I could use
it sounds like. Where might I find it?

A download accelerator takes a file and downloads it in multiple pieces from
one to many sources, speeding up the transfer process (instead of having one
connection to a website, more will max out your side, rather than the
potential bottleneck on the server side).

Flashget is a great piece of software that I've used for a few years now,
and is available from http://www.amazesoft.com/

But since your problem does not concern a download accelerator, the only
thing that I could suggest is to try and re-download the file and see if it
comes out normally. Or, you could download Flashget and try grabbing the
file with it and see how it comes out.

Best of luck

Tim;
Disable ALL components of your antivirus.
Web Trap component of PC-cillin is a big cause of this issue.

Remember to enable your AV application.

OK.. I use the XP default zip program. I found the
Flashget, but will have to read this info on it to see
exactly how it is suppose to work. I downloaded a file,
but cant find it in the computer. Thanks for your help
Matt.
