No matter what people say about these so called "drive accelerators", they
DO NOT give you increased download speed. That is controlled by the amount
of bandwidth you have purchased from your Internet Service Provider.
What the accelerators do is cache frequently visited web sites on their
local servers so that when you go to load a WEB PAGE, it loads faster. If
you are downloading say a 100 meg file, the download speed remains the same
(as controlled by your available bandwidth).And guess what! The function of
the temporary internet files, which are cached locally on YOUR computer, do
the same thing as the download accelerators.
