Download 1.0.614

I have still not received the update of beta 1.0.614, so
I am thinking of installing it myself. Some say you
should uninstall the old version first and some say
don't. Not sure what to do now. Can someone who REALLY
knows, advise me on the best way to go. Thanks.
 
When you invoke the 614 installer, it will post a message on the
screen indicating an Upgrade of your existing install. Based on
that, I would say that uninstalling your previous version isn't really
necessary.
Using "Beta" versions of software - it's sort of normal to remove
previous versions prior to installing the latest. I don't think this is
the case with 614. Also, removing the program might take out any
settings or customizations you've applied to MS-ASW. I've applied
it (614) to 6 setups (including VPCs) and have not run into any
issues doing a simple upgrade.

Thank you very much for your help. I have now downloaded
1.0.614 successfully. No problems at all. After reading
all the problems that some people have been having, I
kept putting it off, but now took the chance and all is
well. Thanks again.
 
Uninstall should not be necessary, I did not, and the new version loaded
fine. I DO recommend you exit the current version. I think if it is
running the install/upgrade will take much longer.
