I have installed Windows XP Professional edition. I have
pentium III 300 MHz. with 384MB Ram. 20 GB HDD.

My Computer is vwery slow. It takes a seconds to even
display the my computer screen. Starting and shutting
takes more than 3 minutes.

I suspect it is due to my processor.

I would like to know the cause for this. else

I would like to downgrade to windows 2000 prof.edi.

I would like to have the existing softwares/programs on my
C drive.

Is it possible to downgrade without formatting the HDD
and . Having Dual OS will make the COmputer very slow.

Not possible. You'll need to format and reinstall.

It seems to meet the requirements. You may want to check the hardware
manufacturer's web site for the latest Windows XP drivers for your devices.
Also check Event Viewer for errors.
