How can I downgrade to xp but still save my files. No formating.
You may have no choice, depending upon how you installed Vista.
If you upgraded to Vista from WinXP, and retained the Windows.Old

Otherwise:
After backing up any data you wish to transfer to the new OS
installation, simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be
offered the opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part
of the installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of
boot devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)

Not happy
with vista cause none of my devices work with vista. Most of the dont have
updated vista drivers that even exist yet. Please help...............
Any particular reason you upgraded to Vista without checking for your
hardware's compatibility and the availability of drivers first? After
all, that is the normal first step when considering any change of
operating systems.
