Is there a problem with downgrading only Outlook from 2002 to 2000 and
leaving the rest of office 2002?

You won't be able to use WordMail or other integration features. And you'll
be back to that lousy dual CW/IMO mode issue.

Thanks for responding! I do not have an in-depth or technical knowledge of
outlook, I only ask this question because I was using Outlook 2000 with my
office suite 2002 so that I could use "net folders", and I have been using it
for almost a year this way, but my computer recently started having a few
unexplained problems. Mostly small ones in internet explorer and "help and
support" that were at most annoying. So our IT guy decided to reformat to fix
the problems and he attributes the glitches to downgrading Outlook. Could
that be the problem? I really need to use Outlook 2000, at least until my
company gets an Exchange Server.

If they were problems with Net Folders, I'd attribute it to the fact that
the feature is inherently buggy, so much so that it was removed from later
versions. But it doesn't sound like they're related, so I think the IT guy
may be just looking for any odd configuration issue to blame.

That was my thought, thanks for your input!
