Downgrade to IE 6 from IE7

Anyone know how to downgrade back to IE6 from IE7? I have tried removing it
from Add/Remove Programs (it's not listed in there). I have tried
uninstalling/reinstalling Windows Components (still no go).

So why isn't there some easy way to remove it? I don't like a number of the
"functionalities" of it as this time.
 
You'll have to do a clean install of Windows.

Perhaps you shouldn't be testing beta software if you're not prepared to
deal with it.

Beta testing is never without risks.
But, try this...
Go back to Add or Remove Programs, check the Show Updates box at the top.
Does IE7 show up in the list? If that doesn't work you will probably have to
reinstall the OS.

I realize this. I didn't just start beta testing yesterday. But MS needs
to learn that if they are going to do a beta they should try to offer a way
to uninstall / downgrade.
 
On the contrary: Every beta tester knows not to install a beta product on a
production machine, so uninstall is not a consideration.
 
Did I say it was a production machine? I was just trying to save myself some
time. But anyway what's it matter this is the internet and it's not worth
discussing any longer.
 
Thank you, that's exactly what I was looking for. I forgot it could have
been listed under there.

Whether I am or am not is not the issue here. I was asking for some
assistance and fortuantley Don Varnau was able to assist me. I didn't come
on here to be belittle by Ted nor questioned by you, I posted with an honest
question asking for help.

I simply asked a legit question, your answer to which may have proven
helpful.

As Don's given you a suitable resolution, Happy Holidays to you, too.
 
The problem was that you don't know how to deal with beta software, and
instead of saying "I know I messed up but can you help me out" you
criticized Microsoft for not including a proper (for you) uninstall
capability.

I don't work for Microsoft and I'm not a Microsoft apologist. But I am
bothered when someone blames Microsoft - or any company - for something that
is really their own fault.
