down loading update

I've tried and tried to download the Windows XP Update
Pack 1 (Express)I get through 11/2 hrs of it then it
shuts down!! Message says contact Microsoft re getting an
update without using web. What address please , how etc.
It's driving me mad (:(
Please Help me someone

If you have a friend with a high-speed connection and a CD burner - have
them go here and download/burn it to CD for you:
