doubt regarding Cisco Certification Exams?

Hi,

I want to know that, how does CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, CCDP help in the development
projects related to networking and devices. I agree that:-
1) it adds a lot value for people in network-administration field.
2) we can theoritcally gain lot of knowledge. At the same time having a
quantitative measure of our knowledge.

Please share the experience, if any.

The exams are geared toward between Cisco commands and theory ( how
protocols should work, how something should be implemented etc ) The CCDA /
CCDP delves the most into the theory, while the CCNA / CCNP delve mostly how
to implement those theories using Cisco technologies. One thing that you
will notice, is that if you can configure a Cisco device, you can easily
pick up how to configure a similar device by a different manufacturer.
