I run the german version of XP Home on the C drive of my notebook computer. I'd like to install the english version of XP Pro on my D drive (empty and unused so far). Do I have to copy all the drivers from C to D or can I tell XP Pro on the D drive to look in C for the drivers (i.e. for CD burner) and will there be a language-dependent issue ?
Theoretically, the drivers are language-independent (right ?) and thus the drivers in the "german" computer should communicate with english software, isn't it ?
Is there anything I should watch out for or has anyone experience with a similar installation ?

What I have seen is a utility the Russians use which switches languages
between English and Russian. It's possible to do this only with Microsoft
software because their menus etc are held outside the programs.
