Double Vision on Samsung 950p

Hi all,

My Samsung 950p sudden developed what I could best described as double
vision. It looks like when you set the wrong resolution or refresh rate. I
could fix it temporarily by changing the resolution. The fix could last
minutes or hours. Rebooting and turning off and on the monitor help
sometimes too.

Is my monitor dying?

Check by substitution, more than likely you'll find it's the monitor,
a fault developing in the line time base section, the circuit that
makes the spot scan across the screen, dry joint's are a
possibility.... soldared joints that have become cracked due to
heating and cooling down, solder is only 40% tin and 60% lead or it
could be a component breaking down.

Best bet is to try the monitor elsewhere are try another monitor this
will certainly confirm which is at fault computer or monitor.
