Double sided printing not desired

Hello.
In Access 2002 when I print a multipage report I get a dialog box (HP
Officejet 6210) that reads, "Two Sided Printing Instructions" which gives me
instructions for printing both sides of the report. What is weird is that
not all of my queries will do this. I was on the phone with HP support
tonight and they verified that my printer (for Word apps) is set to print on
one side. The print property box is different in Access compared to if I
open it in Word. When opened in Access and I select Print and then
Properties, one of the tabs is, "Printing Shortcuts". The drop down box for
"Print on both sides" is set to, "Manually". I set this to off and then it
is ok. Also, there is a "Finishing" tab and "Print on both sides" is
selected. Deselecting this will also temporarily fix the problem. Can you
think of a reason why some of my Reports try to print on both sides? I'd
like to change something so it will print "normally" without going in and
changing things each time Thanks!

in the database window, on the menu bar, click Tools | Options | General tab
and see if the Name Autocorrect feature is On (checkmarked). if it is, turn
if Off (remove the checkmark). then compact the database. set those printer
options the way you want them again if necessary, they may "stick" this
time. this solution sounds off the wall, and may not help, but Name
Autocorrect can cause some fairly weird problems - so even if it doesn't
help with your printer issue, the option is better Off than On in all your
databases.

Have you checked the printer driver's default properties - i.e. the
properties you see when you navigate to it from Windows's Start Menu
(or the equivalent in whatever OS version you are using)? Access
generally defaults to these, and changing them in Access only works
until you exit from that instance of Access. Word is a bit more
intelligent (and, sometimes, confusing!).

The default settings are set up for single sided printing. For some reason
most (not all) of my multipage Reports try to print "on both sides". Tina
had mentioned going to the General Tab of printing properties and deselecting
autocorrect. I don't have autocorrect in the general tab. I had help
setting up this database and my helper didn't write any special code that
we're aware of. Thanks for your consideration.

you misread my post, Dave. i said "in the *database window*, on the menu
bar, click Tools | Options | General tab and..."
