Hi. I reported this in the old build and it still
happens on the latest build 1.0.614. When the machine
first starts up, I find on my taskbar that there is one
Spyware icon marked active, and a second Spyware icon
that disappears when I mouse over it. Someone said that
it was because of a "failed start of the spyware
program". If that's the case? The problem is still
there. It causes no apparent problem with the machine.
It's just an annoyance.

Again i don't use any remote VNC's that I know of. The
problem seems to be sporatic now. Only sometimes does it
create a second icon.

Oops. Make that constant at startup. I get one active
icon and one that dissappears as soon as I mouse over
it. The only remote control I have, is the built in
option of Windows XP Pro, and I have that option turned
off.

Hello Kenny,

look of this works for you:
Goto: Start/Control Panel/Add-Remove programs/MSAS
then click on suport info!!!
Then click on repair!

I checked in add'remove programs, and I don't have an
MSAS program. The closest thing to that name
is "Microsoft Data Accerss Componeents", however since
getting the MS updates on Monday 7/11/05, the problem of
the second icon seems to have gone.

Sorry Tom;
It didn't click to me that MSAS=Microsoft Anti-Spyware.
I do have that of course but since the updates on
monday. I haven't had the problem.
