I have the following set up:
- Source data in Oracle database table.
- Query in MS Access reading the Oracle data through Access Linked Table.
- Excel file reading the Access query as Linked External Data.
When I update the Excel query, it returns only the field names form the
Access query but no data.
I have done some testing as follows:
- The Access query runs fine in Access are returns correct data.
- The Excel query runs fine and return correct data when the Access query
uses a normal Access table as the data source. The problem only arises when
the Access query is using the Oracle table are a source.
So it would appear that the problem is associated with the “double hop†to
get the data.
Any ideas what is wrong?
