Double emails - Outlook 2003??

I have users who are receiving every email twice. Any clue as to why this is
happening? They are using Outlook 2003 with pop3 accounts.
 
After reinstalling Office 2003/Outlook, I now get every email message in
duplicate. And the Send/Receive Progress window shows duplicate email
accounts when I close Outlook.

ISP says that there is only one on their mail server. I leave a copy of all
emails on that server. Disabled antivirus and double persist. I have run
Outlook Detect and Repair several times but the problem persists.

What is odd is that the Outlook Junk file into which junk email gets sent,
shows only one message, not two. Two is only in the "legitimate" Inbox.

If yes, please deactivate the rules.

Do you have the same E-Mail account 2 times configured?
"Tools/e-mail account/show existing e-mail accounts"

You could try to create a new profile:

I guess I can live with that, although, it will add "pain and suffering"
since I get incoming on a variety from a variety.

No. Just once.

Maybe it helps.

I do not have Exchange, Public Sharefolder, I will check for Sync for
Outlook and I do not have Public SyncTool functioing, or to my uncertain
kowledge, even showing anywhere.

SOLUTION for double emails!

Delete all accounts and then add them again. End of problem. Send/Receive
Progress windows now only shows one entry for each account not two.
