DOUBLE CLICKING EXCEL ICON

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft's Office Pro with Frontpage.
When I double click on an excel in a file without first opening the excel
program, excel opens but it cannot find the file that I double clicked. Can
anyone help me with this problem?

Sometimes one of these works:

Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)

--- or ---

Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.
