Double Clicking does not work in powerpoint 2003

This is really bugging me. I'm running win xp sp2 and powerpoint 2003
sp2 and for whatever reason, when I try to use double click for
shortcuts, i.e. on charts to get into edit mode, it doesn't work. I
have to right click and select edit. Also won't work in slide sorter,
if I double click on a slide it won't bring it to edit. This is very
annoying. Have tried uninstall and reinstalled with and without the
service packs, tried using a different mouse, nothing has fixed it.
Anyone ever heard of this? How do I fix it?

Lory03,
It has been reported that certain add-ins for PPT cause this. Try disabling
them and see if it helps.

I did have a add-in, I removed it, but still having the same problem,
just did all the update through micrsoft, still doesn't work.

The one I've seen cause this is the SwiffPoint Player. Which add-in did you
remove?
