Hi,
problem with any PS2 mice in Windows XP Pro.
If I right click on any web page(say Google)then I either get a blank
popup(like a menu)and then MSN homepage opens or if I right click(to
highlight and then copy)a link on any web page then it does the same
thing. If right clicking to highlight a link on Google the it opend
the google page all over asgain.
How can I disable what seems to be double clicking for the right mouse
button?
All I want is normal single click for the right mouse button and
normal double click for left button.
It seems like windows sees a single right click as a double.

Hi,
From Control Panel> Mouse, check settings. Make sure that right button is
set for right-click.

Do you have another mouse you can try? This mouse may be failing.

Try reinstalling the mouse software (drivers) if software was provided.
Otherwise check the website of the mouse manufacturer for drivers.

Hope this helps,

It's not the mouse because when I use a different web browser and not IE6
then the problem is not there.
It only happens in IE6.
I do not double click the right mouse button when in a web page.
For instance IF I decide to right click(not double click)on a link on said
page to highlight it so that I can copy that link to past it elsewhere then
that either makes the menu pop up(same as right clicking once)OR it pops the
right click menu but blank and then opens MSN hompage even if I am on a
different website OR it opens the MSN hompage as if I had clicked a link to
that page.
It sees a right single click as a quick right double click.
Like I said, it only happens IF I use Internet Explorer.
ALL other web browsers let me right click, highlight and copy any link on
any page.

It is NOT mouse divers causing it.
IF it was then it would happen in ALL web browsers.

From you headers: "Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.3264"

Are you running WinXP SP3 beta?

Not necessarily. Some Logitech cordless mice needed new drivers to work
properly with IE7. A failing mouse or a corrupted driver can cause strange
problems.
