Dots follow my cursor

Hi I just wanted to know if this is a virus or something
else, This morning I log on to my computer and I noticed
that everytime I moved the mouse cursor A whole bunch of
dots follow me and the more I move the cursor the more
dots appear. I click refresh and most of the dots are gone
but there is a few that stay on the screen. I restarted,
shut it down and the dots still here. Thanks

Not that this should produce dots, but do you have "display pointer trails"
enabled on the "Pointer Options" tab in your "Mouse Properties" dialog in
the control panel?

Hi Ray, I believe I dont have that choice in the mouse
options, hopefully it will go away because its anoying

Perhaps a problem with the display hardware. Try reducing "hardware
acceleration" one notch. Control panel, Display, Settings, Advanced,
Troubleshooting, Move slider one notch left and Apply. Also you could
try visiting the web site of the video card manufacturer and get a
updated driver and try that.
