Okay somebody tell me I'm not going crazy.

I've written a straight ANSI C program using .net devstudio but it won't run on any other machine unless it has dotnetfx.exe installed??

Is this some kind of stupid joke? All I want is a stand alone .exe...why would I want to have my users install more microsoft crap just to run a basic .exe??

Anybody know how to build a real stand alone .exe using .NET devstudio?

How stupid can microsoft get? .NET blows...

Umm, you should check your properties and make sure you turn off clr
integration. My guess would be you used a .NET exe template instead of a
win32 one, even though the distinction is rather...distinct.

RTFM.

Oh, by the way, they'll need the appropriate CRT installed anyway, so
there's no dodging "more micorsoft crap".

Cheers,
