Did someone whack the dotnet.general group? I've now tried 3 newsreaders on
it, and since yesterday its returning whacked values for messages, etc.

I believe the MS news servers have had a few hiccoughs in the last 18
hours or so - various MVPs are reporting missing articles etc.

I'm sure it'll be sorted soon.

Just tried it with Outlook Express on msnews.microsoft.com - works fine.

I found I had to unsubscribe and then resubscribe in order to get any
new articles this morning. I suspect the article numbering has changed,
or at least changed temporarily in a way which confused newsreaders.
(It's hard to say in my case, as I've been patching my newsreader
anyway to get round the other problems MS's change in web access has
created...)

Ive done that a few times - but then the numbers changed again.

Is it finally sorted now?

I wouldn't know - but it doesn't seem to be causing me any problems at
the moment.
