dot net 1.1 redistributable install

Hi,
I am having problems installing the dot net 1.1 framework
on a win2k machine.

it locks up when installing the file aspnet_regiis.exe -i

any ideas?
 
Is it win2k server, pro, or home?
do you have IIS installed on this win2k machine?
 
It's win2k pro.

what is IIS? if i don't have it installed how would i get it?
