We have been experiencing a strange problem when printing
reports to dot matrix printers.
What happens is that on some pages of the report, text
that appears correctly in preview ends up in a different
place on the report when printed. We have five controls
vertically adjacent and sometimes the text in third
control down will move down to the next line overwriting
the text in the control beneath it. We have tried
replacing the controls with one textbox and catenating
the fields together but the problem still occurs. There
is no code behind the report that manipulates the
controls position.
The only way that we have been able to stop this
happening is by deleting controls from the report and
then adding them again. This however can be quite hit and
miss.
This problem occurs in Access XP and also 97. The most
recent occurance of this problem is on an Epson LX300
using the LX300 driver but we have experienced this on
other dot matrix printers over the years. We have never
found this problem on laser printers.
Can anybody help?
