Access 2003, printing on multi-part forms to epson FX-2180 dot matrix.
Form is 8.5x5.5 and report size is that. I tried having report size
8x5 with .25 margin all around, and also with report size 8.5x5.5 with
0.0 margins all around. Using "Device Font 10cpi", and the printer
driver is Generic/Text. Cont. Feed - No Break is selected.

I've gotten better, but am stuck now, the printout moves up one line
each time it prints, so it is creeping up all the time. Can't seem to
solve that "creep-up".

I didn't even try Epson's driver, as it takes all day to print out
these forms from the old DOS program, so figured it would take way too
long using Epson driver.

Any advice?

Thanks, John

John,
Access is particularly fussy about printer drivers. You must have the
latest printer driver for your printer installed. Most Mfgs web sites
maintain downloads for their printers. Your best bet is to try that first.

Not sure why you feel that way. The Epson driver "should" print at the
same speed as a generic driver. I know "letter quality" (double strike)
matrix printing can be very slow. Particulary 9 pin vs. 24 pin...

I guess I got the idea that it would be best to use Generic/Text from
searching google, as other people have suggested it. I switched to
using Epson's driver, and left the font "Draft 10cpi". Works fine
now, and for a quick test seemed to print fast.

Maybe I got the wrong idea and the people who got the "use
generic/text" were given that advice because their printer did not
have a courier/draft type font?

Anyway, thanks.
