I don't believe this is possible. If it's possible is MS word...you could always paste it into powerpoint (it just might
work!)

No, afraid not.

You might be able to do what you need by creating the text in Word then
copy/pasting into PowerPoint though.

do you mean as opposed to arrows?

The opints work that way anyway, go to the slide master, right click on
the text, select bullets, there select the dots instead of the arrows
