How about a brief description of what it is/ does, here in the
newsgroup. That way people can decide whether they want to go through
all the registering, passwords etc. It's got me curious why all this is
necessary for a freeware app.

Its a DOS emulator for Windows 2k/XP. These are BETA or CVS builds
compiled by someone every two days.

The official latest 0.58 version can be downloaded here:

http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1

I have no idea why they want people to register to get the latest BETA
now, you used to just be able to get it without having to.

Thanks Lee. I know somebody who'll definitely be interested in this - an
old DOS dab with XP, who's still not quite at home with these mouses
things yet. :)

No problem m8, I use it to play all the old DOS classics. Although I
still like to use ScummVM to play Monkey Island and Fate of Atlantis
etc :)
