How can i create a bootable DOS disk from my working
computer (XP), i mean the actual program, DOS, my other
computer claims it doesn't have an operating system and i
can't install i new one cause i don't have enough memory,
so i want to run DOS to wipe out my hard drive, please
help! thanks

Put a floppy disk in the drive on your XP computer and
select format, then select the option to make a bootable
disk. You can also download a W98 boot floppy from several
sources.

To install XP you need a working CD drive, so why not just
boot the XP CD and select install and you'll get the tools
you need to partition and format the drive.

If your other computer has a cable disconnect from the
primary hard drive that will cause the problem you are
describing. When you boot from the floppy, see if you can
do a DIR on the hard drive. If you have a W98 CD it will
also boot.
