Is it possible to run old DOS-based applications in XP Home Edition? If so, I haven't been able to figure out how. Help!

Here are a couple of good articles, you may also want to check the
built-in Help and Support Index for information on application
compatibility.

Bob;

Open Help and Support and Search for: dos

Look for:
To set up two shortcuts for an MS-DOS program
To create or change a program information file (PIF)
To allocate system resources for an MS-DOS-based program and change its idle
time
To create custom startup files for an MS-DOS-based program that may require
a special configuration
To specify custom startup files for MS-DOS-based programs
To set compatible timer hardware emulation
To open an MS-DOS program from a command prompt window

There is more info in Help and Support!!
