DOS PROMPT under Windows 2000 causing crash

When using the alt-tab to switch between the windows
while being in a DOS PROMPT (under MS Windows 2000), this
causes the screen to hang on (black screen). The PC still
runs, but nothing happen anymore on the screen. Is
anybody aware of such a problem ? Thanks,
 
I would suspect the problem lies with the video adapter driver. Try
installing an updated driver for the adapter from the videocard
manufacturers website.
