It all depends on the program itself. Windows XP doesnt include DOS, so all
your programs will be running in emulation.

Hi Larry,
You can run most DOS programs by opening the command prompt window. Go to
Start Menu> Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt. However, this is only an
emulation of DOS and you cannot start Windows XP in a DOS mode. You may also
want to install an older version of windows that supports a dos mode (ex.
Windows 98) as a second operating system.
