I have a W2K3 TS running with TC and PC-RDP clients and everything
works well apart from when a User loads a DOS based program called "Shire",
which is a Plant Maintenance system supplied by Frontline in the UK.
As soon as the user clicks on the shortcut and the program loads the
processor %
rises by 50% and gradually the whole Terminal Server grinds to a halts in
terms
of user performance. The shortcut points to a Novell 4.2 server.
I have tried various combinations of the Start command and also played with
the
properties memory options without success.
Can anybody offer any other suggestions which I can try.
Regards Graham Lockwood.

Hi!

You should try a program called TAMEDos. You'll find it here:

www.tamedos.com

Hopefully it will solve your problems. I think the trial lasts for 30 days.
The installation didn't require me to reboot. It was very straightforward.

The uninstall went smoothly also if you find it doesn't help you.

Christophe

There are actually many application management programs that can also prevent
DOS apps from throttling your CPU. TameDOS is one, but not my favorite.
Here's a longer list:

WMSoftware Relevos
TameDOS
RTOSoft TScale
Appsense Performance Manager
TMurgent TMULimit
ThreadMaster (no GUI, but free)
