Hi,
Dos-man-there is a European company called 'text-box'
(http://www.textbox.com/). They may object to the use of textbox as a
application name-can you contact them and as it is fine to use textbox as an
app name befoere you put the proversion out.

Well, I have thought about changing the name before as I am not thrilled
with it. I thought maybe Textbook might be a better name.
Any suggestions?

Perhaps we should be discussing this at alt.comp.shareware since some
users here may object to discussing a soon-to-be-shareware application
and I really can't blame them.

But a few points.. since I have not formed a company, only a product
name, I don't know if product names count as an infringement against
company names. Likewise, the company may not have a product named
Textbox Pro.

From what little I know about international copyright and trademark
laws,
one thing I do know is that you only have to abide by them if you are
doing business outside of your own country. I could always refuse to
do business outside of the U.S. if need be - at least for a while.

It seems to me with so many companies in
this world, there wouldn't really be any available product names to
choose
from, just like there aren't any half-decent names available for
dot-coms
anymore.
