Both of our name servers ns1 and ns2 just went down for about 10 minutes.
When i looked in the event logs i see event ID 7050:
The DNS server recv() function failed. The event data contains the error.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
After searching in google I found some links to port scanning? Can anyone
help me out here, or should I call up microsoft. So far we don't see
anything strange in the firewall logs.

7050 event are caused by high load situations, and are generally
exasterbated if you have debug logging enabled on the DNS server. Under high
load with debug logging enabled the DNS server is not capable of writing the
log and answering queries. Turning off debug logging should make these go
away, there is a KB about this for NT4 but I've found disabling debug
logging fixes Win2k and Win2k3, too.
